Koalas have adapted their behaviors to survive. For example, males have

the other males know that they cannot feed from that tree. Many koalas live in a
community where each koala gets a 'range'. However, this range may overlap with
another koala's range. In each community there is a dominant male. Though, there
is more than one male in each community. Once a community dies out, another will
not immediately take over. It takes roughly a year for a scent to fade. When the
scent fades, a new community will take the old ones place.
